Neylu's Byte-sized Adventures

Hi hi !

It’s such a weird feeling to be writing those lines. This is my first time owning a blog and taking the time to put my thoughts into words with the intention of exposing it to the world, but I must say, it’s pretty exciting.

Lately, I’ve been trying to escape social platforms like X (formerly Twitter) where negativity and people makes me feel claustrophobic. I’ve even joined Mastodon and plan to stick around there but stepping into a platform where I know almost no one is always a bit daunting.

I’ve wanted to write for a long time— to write for myself, take the time to introspect, and transform my thoughts into a somewhat harmonious thread. This blog is my attempt to carve out a little space on the internet where I can share my passions and experiences.

So, who am I?

I’m a 20+ years old full-stack JavaScript developer who finds joy in always learning, always adapting, and I hope to share some of that journey here with you.

Besides coding, I have a deep love for video games. Gaming has been a constant in my life. You can mostly find me playing indie games (I’m kind of addicted to Stardew Valley…) or replaying the classics from my childhood (Sonic Adventure, Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine…). I might share some recommendations or even talk about small games projects I could start working on.

Another big part of my life is music. I’ve been playing the guitar for a long time, though very sporadically. For the past four years, I’ve maintained a deep interest in music production but haven’t taken the plunge that seriously. I have “basic knowledge” of music theory, know how to use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and have always been inspired by artists like Aphex Twin, Porter Robinson, C418, Toby Fox… and many more. Moving forward, I’d like to dedicate more time to working on music and developing my skills in this area, so… I guess you might find some thoughts or articles around this.

This blog is a place for me to document my journey, both personal and professional. Whether you're here for the tech talk, gaming insights, or musical musings, I hope you’ll find something that resonates with you.

I'm always open to talking and connecting with others. If you enjoy my content or have any questions, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you ! You can find my links in the homepage.

Thank you for reading this article, let’s see where this journey takes us ✨
